BREAKING NEWS: basketball IS BACK!

BREAKING NEWS: basketball IS BACK! Yep you heard it right, the courts are reopening, and basketball is coming back into our lives. It’s been two months since my basketball court hoops were taken off, but finally, they were put back on.

You don’t know how excited I am that basketball is starting back up, and not just the NBA, but my practices are starting back up and I can finally shoot a basketball.

BREAKING NEWS: basketball IS BACK!

It has been great seeing the courts back up, and I’m able to play ball again. Cause now I can get up in the morning and shoot then do my school, etc. Even though gyms aren’t open yet, mainly for basketball, I still have the park.

The only bad news is this: I live in Arizona. Which isn’t a bad thing, but boy it sure does get hot quick. By the time it hits 7 o’clock, it is already 80+ degrees out.

My new goals:

My new goals are these:

  • Play basketball at least 4-5 days a week
  • Get up at least 150-200 shots
  • Practice for 30 minutes
  • Workout everyday

Those are the new goals that I want to install in my game-plan. I have been doing my new workout, which has been going on for a week now and has been going great.

What does this new workout consist of?

I am trying to ease back into everything, meaning, not to be He-Man. I’m trying to do things slowly so I don’t hurt myself and get myself too tired.

I’m starting out with 10 finger push-ups, 25 regular push-ups, plus 30 sit-ups per day. By easing into this, I’ll be able to increase each set by 5 per week. Especially finger push-ups, they aren’t easy.

Push-ups and sit-ups I’m doing good at, but man I am struggling at these finger push-ups. But got to remember that this is my first week of doing them, I am just doing these kinds of push-ups to increase hand strength.

Conclusion:

Since the first wave of Covid-19 (Coronavirus) is over, I’ll be able to be free-flowing and have a normal schedule again. For me, I am hoping that I am able to perfect my shot for this upcoming club team, which I’m still holding out for.

All I know is that I have all the time in the world to be playing basketball now, of course when not extremely hot. So, this is going to be fun. I am just trying to work on my form because it has been a while since I last shot a ball.
