Andre Drummond injury strangely optimistic? While that may be weird to hear, that is the truth and nothing but the truth. The Lakers newly signed player suffered this injury during his debut with the team.

What is the injury? It would be a right big toe injury and Drummond himself said the that the toenail completely came off. I apologize if you were just eating, but yes, the toenail came completely off.

However, the Lakers are very positive that he is only going to miss a game or two. During we did see a number of players here, most notable LaMarcus Aldridge.

Him and Aldridge were by far the best two on the buyout market for the NBA this season.

Here is what the man said himself:

“Just unfortunate to have this happen to me in the first game,” Drummond said Wednesday. “It kind of was a little deflating for me, but my head is high. I’m going to take it day by day and come back better than ever.”

While this does stink for him, it doesn’t hold him down. He will be back and he will be stronger coming into those crucial games for the Lakers. The Lakers are looking to keep/advance in the forth seed and beyond; however, have been having roadblocks due to Anthony Davis’s 20-game injury absence and LeBron’s absence due to an ankle injury.

As a side-note, all of LeBron’s minions (I mean teammates) said that the player on the opposing side intentionally hurt him. Yep, because he can make up his mind within a few seconds of saying, “instead of going after the ball, I am going to clip the ankle of LeBron.” LeBron turned around too and people were clustered in, it was deemed no one’s fault.

However, LeBron and his minions went after this poor player just because off a little bump. Not this vicious bump, but that is what ESPN has to report because the NBA idolize LeBron.

While dealing with this injury bug, the team should be a go for the playoffs as that is what the defending champs are eyeing for.

Andre Drummond is officially a Laker!

Andre Drummond is officially a Laker! The Lakers and Drummond already made the decision unofficially to agree to a deal; however, they just needed to have him clear waivers. That is what he exactly did.

The Lakers have announced this by saying:

“Andre Drummond gives us powerful, anchor-point skills on both ends of the court,” Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka said in a statement. “We feel extremely fortunate to add a player of his caliber and magnitude to our core group at this stage of our journey to defend the NBA title.”

Minutes before the deal was announced, Drummond went to social media and posted him in a LakeShow uniform saying “Back to work.” That was then followed with one purple and one gold heart.

Drummond felt this to be in his best interest to sign with the Lakers, we are predicting. Why? Because the Lakers are trying to run it back to the NBA Finals, and they have talent coming out of the wood-works.

Since agreeing to a buy-out with his former team, the Cavaliers, he has been contacted by several teams. Most notably the Knicks and Celtics. Of course the Lakers, too.

Drummond is averaging 17 points and 13 rebounds per game this season before Feb. 12th when a contract buy-out and/or trade was going to happen. This all happened due to them getting a younger center and both sides felt that his tenure was over.

Lakers closing in on HUGE potential! With LaMarcus Aldridge already signed with the Brooklyn Nets, the Lakers have been shopping around the buy-out market. To their surprise they may be getting a huge star.

Who may this star be? This is no other than Andre Drummond, yes you read that correctly. Drummond already agreed to a buy-out for his contract and is set to clear waivers at 2 P.M. AZ Time, Sunday. Shortly after should he be making his decision on where he is going to be playing at next.

The Lakers luckily have found great upside, how? Because they are the front-runners to acquire the center. The organization and player’s themselves have been recruiting him hard, per reports of ESPN and other sources. They have been trying to get him to come to L.A. and it is believed to have worked.

What advantages will he have here if signed with The LakeShow?

He will be in the starting rotation for Los Angeles as Marc Gasol and Montrezl Harrell have been unique to say the least for them. They are hoping for more consistency, protecting the paint more, and being the big-man he is. Which is rebounding, boxing players out, and controlling the paint with his skill set.

This is to get the team set to make sure they have everything they need to make a successful run again, I.E. a championship run.

Hot Take: Why did he not want to sign with any other teams?

The likes of the Celtics, Knicks, Clippers, Hornets, and other teams wanted him. Discussions were happening, however, Drummond wanted to go to the Lakers.

The reason? We speculate that he wants to win a championship, be on a contender, and the other team’s were not offering that. The Hornets are not a solid run, they are iffy. Same with the Knicks (just trying to make it to the postseason), Clippers, and even the Celtics. While all these teams have high chances for a playoff-run, or in-season tournament for playoff spot.

Drummond and his agent found it more suitable to go to the Lakers because of their talent, knowing what is expected, and more importantly not in the slight or even more rebuilding process. Teams that have high championship contention will be a great landing spot; also, L.A. is very marketable and appealing for many players and fans.

Drummond is averaging 17 points and 13 rebounds per game, which is a double-double per game. Something to consider, not even considering his talent and skill range.
